The area on which the Garrison Green housing market has been established was originally an old military barracks until it was decommissioned in 1998. This military reference naturally lent its name to the new community being built — hence Garrison Green. Real estate development in the area was not instant and it was not until the mid 2000’s that this residential area really took shape.
