The Crestmont housing market is part of one of the newer neighborhoods in Calgary, with its groundbreaking taking place in January of 2000. The community was developed by Qualico Communities in several different phases, with the final phases wrapping up in the winter of 2020. Thirty percent of the land area in Crestmont is reserved for the protection of the natural green patches of aspens forest and the surrounding creek that provides homes for indigenous wildlife. Homes in Crestmont sit on large lots and builders in the area include Shane, NuVista, Sterling, Augusta, Albi, and JayMack.

Crestmont is an upscale, secluded neighbourhood in southwest Calgary that offers stunning views of the majestic Rocky Mountains, preserved natural greenspaces, and a short drive to the amenities found in the many communities of Calgary.

The Crestmont housing market offers a wide variety of recreational amenities and is only a short drive away from the Rocky Mountains and residents can enjoy a round of golf at the nearby Valley Ridge Golf Course. The community also has extensive pathways that are linked to the city’s regional trail systems making it a short 20-minute commute to downtown Calgary.

Shopping can be found both to the east and to the west of the community. To the east, home buyers can enjoy smaller retail stores and dining opportunities. Crowfoot Centre can be found to the west of the community and offers more opportunities for big box shopping as well as entertainment with a multiplex theatre. A new road connecting to Old Banff Coach Trail conveniently opens Crestmont up to popular West Calgary amenities.

Public schools servicing Crestmont include Glamorgan Elementary School, Glenbrook Elementary School, A.E. Cross Junior High School and Ernest Manning High School. Separate school options include St. Andrew Elementary School, St. Gregory Elementary/Junior High School, St. Mary’s High School and Bishop Carroll High School.
