The community is part of the Willow Ridge area. The other two residential neighbourhoods in the area, Maple Ridge and Willow Park, were annexed to the City of Calgary in 1956 and development began in the second half of the 1960’s. Now the housing market is fully integrated into the city and has a variety of commercial, residential and recreational facilities including Southland Mall and Fish Creek Park.

This vibrant and friendly Willow Park Estates community set amongst mature landscaping offers a great variety of upscale homes for sale. Buyers can select from single-family detached houses, townhouses and condominiums. There are luxury villas on the listings as well. There is a great variety when it comes to floor plans and the number of bedrooms and bathrooms. The residents of Willow Park Estates can take full advantage of all amenities and programs of the Willow Ridge community association. It offers yoga classes, youth soccer, senior activities and dog obedience training. There are also tennis courts and a skating rink in close proximity.

Both Willow Park shopping village and Southcentre Mall are within walking distance. They offer a range of shops, cafes and restaurants plus professional services. Fish Creek Library is right next to the shopping mall and has book and language clubs and computer classes.

Willow Park Estates is part of the Willow Ridge Community Association which also serves the neighbouring community of Maple Ridge.

There are several public schools in the area including elementary schools Fred Seymour, Willow Park and Maple Ridge plus R.T. Alderman Junior High School. Catholic St. William Elementary School is also within easy reach.
