Oakridge Housing Market
After being annexed to the city of Calgary in 1956, real estate development in the area that would become Oakridge began slowly. It was officially established in 1968 and development in the area accelerated shortly afterwards and continued through the 1970’s. As a result of careful town planning much of the property that was built at the time was single-family detached housing.
Of the Oakridge homes for sale, there is generally a clear distinction between new developments and older homes. Much of the new developments have focused on apartment buildings and condominiums, while the original housing development was almost exclusively single-family detached housing.
Oakridge has a population of roughly 5,600 residents, many of whom are drawn to the beautiful location and luxurious yet affordable homes. Even people that have modest incomes can afford to live in this stunning neighbourhood with spacious homes.
