The Rundle neighbourhood was established in 1973 as a part of a large real estate development project along with the communities of Pineridge, Whitehorn and Temple. Collectively, these neighbourhoods are known as The Properties and they all received the names of nearby mountains.

Rundle is situated in the northeast section of Calgary, with its borders including 3 Avenue NE to the north, 52 Street NE to the east, the Trans-Canada Highway to the south and 36 Street NE to the west. Residents have convenient access to the downtown area and to the rest of the city via the roadways and the LRT.

When you are looking through the listings you’ll discover that Rundle homes for sale are predominantly single-family houses. You’ll also have a choice between detached and semi-detached houses and townhouses. The detached homes are the most abundant in this low-density neighbourhood and they come with a variety of housing styles and floor plans. There are also some condos for sale if you prefer apartment-style living.

The Rundle Community Association maintains a community hall with room for 225 people and hosts a variety of events from meetings to parties and games. In addition to Rundlelawn Park, which is situated within the neighbourhood, residents can also choose to relax and indulge in various activities in nearby Pineridge Park. Village Square Leisure Centre is in close proximity to Rundle as well. It offers a wide variety of facilities including a wave pool with slides and a splash zone, two indoor skating rinks, rooms for fitness and dancing and a jungle gym for youngsters.

Sunridge Mall is located right next to homes for sale in Rundle and it has more than 150 stores such as Sport Check, Aldo, H&M, Old Navy and Bath and Body Works. A short ride down 36 Street E brings you to another large shopping area with two malls, a Walmart, a Home Depot and a Canadian Tire. This area is a shopping lover’s dream come true. The Rundle neighbourhood is home to a number of schools. Youngsters can study at Rundle Elementary, Cecile Swanson Elementary or St. Rupert Elementary. The students that attend grades 7-9 can go to Dr. Gordon Higgins Junior High and St. Rose of Lima Junior High schools.
