Established in 1990, Hidden Valley real estate forms a relatively young community, with the first house breaking ground in 1991.

First time home buyers have a number of affordable properties to choose from that will suit their budgets. Approximately 3,800 residential properties are available, with most being single-family residences, including starter homes.

While this is largely a community of single-family houses, there are also several multi-unit Hidden Valley condominiums and townhouses available. These homes in Calgary’s northwest section have been constructed by Stepper, Glenwood, Descon, Jayman, Trico, Beattie, Excel Homes, Lincolnberg, Basal, Shane, and Sterling.

The entrance to the Hidden Valley neighbourhood also has a shopping plaza with restaurants, a flower shop and other commercial establishments. Sporting events held in several playing fields are enjoyed throughout the year by members of the Hidden Valley Community Association and the community’s local groups.

Hidden Valley can be reached from downtown by driving to 14 Street NW just past Nose Hill Park. The MacEwan and Sandstone communities are both located to the south.

Hidden Valley is only several minutes away from one of the largest municipal parks in Canada, Nose Hill Park. The community’s excellent path system connects it to the path system of the city. Hidden Valley’s prime location provides its residents access to both playgrounds and outdoor green spaces and amenities.

Hidden Valley homes for sale have convenient access to schools, shopping centers, and playgrounds. Shopping places include the Beddington Town Centre, the Real Canadian Superstore in Edgemont, and the newly constructed Beacon Hill shopping district featuring Canadian Tire, Costco, and Home Depot.

Additionally, home buyers can head to nearby Cardel Place, which is a recreational complex with a holistic approach, to enjoy the swimming pool, skating rink, and hot tub throughout the year. People calling this community their home can also participate in sports programs that include hockey, soccer and events like the Family Winter Festival and the community’s annual yard sale.

The Hidden Valley Community Association runs sports programs and recreational areas, which are built around a small creek and several park areas. Adjacent to Nose Hill Park’s 800 acres, you’ll find several ball diamonds and a skating rink as well as nearby golf courses located in Harvest Hills, The Hamptons, Fox Hollow, and Country Hills.

Families living in Hidden Valley homes have a number of separate and public school options, and residents are provided with several choices for their children. St. Elizabeth Seton, Valley Creek and Hidden Valley are all public schools, with the first two schools catering to junior high school students. The community’s local high school is Crescent Heights.
