Rosemont real estate was not developed until 1958. It was, however, annexed to the city much earlier in 1910.

Rosemont has a current population of 1,200 residents and 20% of the properties are comprised of condominium units and townhomes. The rest consist of detached single-family homes. Various civic projects have been spearheaded by the Rosemont Community Association as well, such as the establishment of a memorial garden and the improvement of Confederation Park’s duck pond. Confederation Park has large grounds for golf, baseball, and tennis and Nose Hill Park, with its expansive green space, is also in the Rosemont area.

A clubhouse, a driving range, a 9-hole golf course, and a par-36 course can be found in 400-acre Confederation Park. With a meandering stream running under them, quaint bridges are sprinkled throughout the park for crossing from one side to the other. Picnic seating is available by the two skating rinks located near Rosemont’s community hall.

The association maintains the community hall’s family and adult functions, social and sports programs and the ice skating rink. The association also supports the community’s newsletter, brings community issues to Calgary’s city hall, and participates in the Calgary Recycling Centre’s environmental efforts.

Families buying homes in Rosemont will find public schools in the community including Rosemont Elementary, Colonel Irvine Junior High, and Crescent Heights High Schools. This is a neighbourhood where you’ll always have something to do and a seemingly endless choice of housing options to choose from.
