Real estate in the area where the Ramsay neighbourhood housing market stands today was first developed by Wesley Fletcher and his partners in the 1880’s. The modern community was formed in 1956 when Brewery Flats, Mills Estate, Grandview, and Burnsland decided to unite.

It has instruction in French and belongs to the Calgary Catholic School District. Both of these good schools make the neighbourhood popular with home buyers.
