Highland Park Housing Market
The land encompassing Highland Park real estate was annexed by the city in 1910, and today its boundaries are defined by McKnight Blvd, Edmonton Trail, 32 Avenue, and 4 Street. Its neighbouring communities include Greenview, Tuxedo, Highwood and Thorncliffe. Development didn’t begin in earnest until 1946, and most of the homes in the area were built between the 1950’s and the 1970’s.
If you are interested in new homes for sale in Highland Park, you’ll have a lot of housing options to choose from as well as some custom home plans. Most Highland Park properties are for single families, but there are two-storey homes, split-levels, bungalows, and duplexes available as well. Sizes range from small bungalows to sprawling modern rebuilt homes.
Townhouses and condominium units are available in addition, and just recently a new low-rise condominium building has been completed. Residents can enjoy the great mountain views in Highland Park and it’s nothing short of spectacular.

The community is just a few minutes away from Confederation Park, Nose Hill Park, the Highland Golf Course, and the exclusive Calgary Winter Club and its superb recreational facilities. Avid bicyclists living in Highland Park homes enjoy easy access to the city bike paths. An outdoor skating rink can be found here as well.
Residents who purchase homes in Highland Park often visit the Beddington Town Centre for its shops and recreational places, since it is the largest mall in the area. The nearby Edmonton Trail also offers more than enough restaurants and shops. Highland Park offers easy commutes for its residents and going to the airport is not a problem with the quick and easy access provided by McKnight Blvd. Deerfoot Trail and the Edmonton Trail also offer a quick drive to downtown Calgary.
The Highland Park Community Association has combined its membership with Mount Pleasant and Tuxedo Highland Park. Together they offer various activities to residents of all ages. Amongst the most awaited events here is the annual Stampede barbeque.
