Erlton was formally established in 1906, and as hard as it is to believe now, the homes for sale here were once considered to be on the edge of Calgary. As Calgary has grown so has the Erlton housing market, and it has become one of the city’s most thriving inner city communities. This has made the community particularly popular amongst professionals and young couples looking for a modern setting that retains some authenticity and charm.

One of the most appealing features of Erlton is its prime location, since just about everything you’d need is but a short walk away. The Talisman Centre is a favourite amongst locals and visitors alike. Here you can choose from a vast selection of amenities and sports since it houses a swimming pool, a gymnasium, a running track and many other recreational facilities.

Home buyers in the Erlton neighbourhood will also love that there are many parks within walking distance, with Victoria Park being the number one pick of a very good bunch. Outdoor enthusiasts are well-catered for and many of the parks are linked with a series of pathways and trails that allow residents to take in the city as it should be seen.

Since it is such a popular spot for young professionals, it is important that Erlton home buyers have access to shopping outlets and malls. Thankfully, the Chinook Mall, the South Centre Mall and many other stores are only just around the corner.
